Information stored on your device
The calculator saves your selected loads and planning duration in your browser’s local storage, so your plan is still there when you return. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to Outage.info. You can remove it with the calculator’s Reset all button or by clearing your browser’s site data.
Hosting
Outage.info is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP addresses, browser type, and the pages requested. Cloudflare may also set strictly necessary security cookies. That processing is governed by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.
Links to other websites
This site links to official public-safety sources such as the CDC, CPSC, FEMA, FDA, and the U.S. Department of Energy. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Analytics
Outage.info uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure page speed. It does not use cookies, does not use local storage for tracking, and does not build profiles of individual visitors. It records aggregate information such as which pages are viewed, the referring site, browser and device type, country, and page load times. Cloudflare adds a small script to each page to collect this. You can read more in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
No email list is active. If an email checklist or newsletter is launched, this section will be updated before activation to name the email provider, explain what is collected, and explain how to unsubscribe.
Affiliate links
Version one contains no affiliate links. If affiliate links are added, retailers may use cookies to attribute purchases after you follow a link. See the affiliate disclosure.
Children
This site is intended for adults planning for their households and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated.
Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected]. If you email the site, your message and email address are used only to reply to you. Mail sent to outage.info addresses is forwarded to the site owner’s inbox through Cloudflare Email Routing, which does not store message contents.
